Welcome to Gonzales Community School

Located in the Casa Solana neighborhood in northern Santa Fe, Gonzales Community School is a K-8 school.  We are a safe, healthy, academically rigorous learning community where being respectful, responsible, and motivated go hand-in-hand.

Gonzales parents and teachers work together to build bridges between families and school in our culturally rich community. Through educational events, we enhance learning experiences, strengthen communication between home and school, and encourage every child to grow.

While our curriculum follows the New Mexico Common Core State Standards for each grade level, our experienced and savvy teachers incorporate enhanced and creative teaching methods to ensure student engagement and high-academic achievement.  Our school also partners with many local organizations,   including Los Alamos National Laboratory Foundation, Cooking with Kids, Santa Fe Opera, Santa Fe Alliance for Science, National Dance Institute (NDI) and ArtWorks - to name a few.

We strive to keep parents informed of their child’s academic progress and identify opportunities for     improvement and advancement so we may take action, in real-time.   We incorporate Differentiated Instruction Groups (DIG), which are small groups of students learning at the same academic level, into our everyday curriculum.  Outdoor recess is scheduled twice per day for K-6 grades and every student participates in music (choir, orchestra and band), art and physical education classes.

Please visit our PTA website at gcspta.org for more information about our learning community and contact us at 505-467-3100 if you are interested in partnering with Gonzales Community School in educating your child.

Educating the future leaders of the world!
